I thought it was good, probably not something I’d want to watch again. Very disturbing in that it didn’t seem so far removed like almost all war movies. This felt possible, which was frightening.
And I agree with PP that not knowing the full cause of the conflict or who was fighting for what side made it more impactful. It’s not about the why. It’s about what ordinary people will do when they find themselves in this scenario. Some commit atrocities. Some are heroic. Some are reckless. And some pretend like it’s not happening.
