They just had a data breach. |
Same, not happy about the data breach |
I haven't had any issues with them until recently. I made my online payment on the 1st, and their system didn't process it until the 18th! Which led to a late fee. Still trying to dispute it. |
Just got notice that our mortgage is being transferred to Mr. Cooper as well. A technical question for those who’s already made their payments to them. How did you set it up with online bill pay? They have an incredibly long name—nationstar mortgage dba Mr. Cooper which the bank’s app (or website) doesn’t have enough space to fit all the words! Who did you all send your money to? Thanks! |
I had my mortgage bought by them years ago and refinanced as soon as I could to get away from them.
If you can, I would advise you to do the same. Just read the BBB reviews, to drive my point further. https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/lewisville/profile/mortgage-broker/mr-cooper-0875-6002297/customer-reviews |
They are trying to force you to use their automated bank withdrawal. |
Is there anyway to say ‘no’ when mortgage is sold to Mr Cooper? We also just found out our mortgage was sold to them. |
Nope. |
They were so incredibly bad.
I wish we had an option to get away from them. At the beginning of the year, my mortgage changed because of taxes. I had it automated so it sent about $50 less than it should’ve. So I sent 50 more dollars and updated my auto pay. Their system can’t handle this so they put all that money towards principal and said I was late on my payment even though I had paid on time. You can’t have a conversation with them without Having them try to sell you some thing. I essentially have to argue with the person trying to answer my questions saying I don’t want to buy anything. Please put me through to somebody who can answer my question. My bank says my payment often and they say they never received it. Then I have to call my bank and submit a fraud report. It’s a nightmare. |
Someone else just bought our mortgage from Mr. Cooper and I’m happy about it. |
Your mortgage hasn't been sold to them, the servicing rights have. And no, you have no choice in the matter. |
I have always insisted that there be no escrow, and that I pay taxes and insurance myself. No one cares about my house or finances more than I do. I recommend it for everyone. |
Had Bank of America sell my mortgage to Nation Star who sold my mortgage to Mr. Cooper who then sold my mortgage to a new company.
All have been the same. Neither good or bad. They just want the monthly payment. |
Nationstar is Mr. Cooper, they just adopted a trade name. |
I used to work in a building near one of theirs and always thought it’s a baffling, stupid name. It makes me think of Mini Coopers and Mr. Magoo driving blindly in his mini car. |
