Because group projects.

I’m confused as to why you think that is at all relevant to this convo?

Some of the business majors I know are the exact opposite of bottom of the barrel. Oh, and stay in your lane. You sound like an awful excuse for a human.

+1. Don’t feed the ignorant

Then you are not well educated. Just go look at the professors in a business school (for both undergrad and the MBA programs). Most have a PHD in something.

For everything except academia though, yes most people only need at most an MBA or a MS in Finance/Accounting/Marketing/etc. People don't get PHDs to work outside of academia. They don't need it, jobs pay extremely well with just a BS or an MBA

Getting into the Business Schools at:
Boston College
Michigan
Miami
Wisconsin
Penn
Just to name a view is harder than getting in regular admission so the OP is asking an asinine question. Business majors may be more practical and career-oriented and less "high-brow" intellectual than some other majors. My kid is a business major with great grades and a 35 ACT from aBig 3. I'm glad he's doing it it's perfect match for his skills and interests.

Business is a vocational degree like HR or dental hygiene. It's fine, but anyone can do it so it's not clear why you even need to go to school for it.

Business school PhD faculty do not have undergraduate business degrees.

Intelligent people get PhDs. Not all of them, but you would expect some to.

Have you ever taken gender studies?
I’ve only taken one class in Women’s studies at an extremely competitive SLAC and it was one of the most challenging classes at school.
Any class can be easy or hard depending on the curriculum and teacher.

Wow such an intellectual post OP. All the students at Dyson, Ross, Marshall, Wharton, Stern, Olin…. Not so bright? But yet here you are with this intellectually weak boomer take on undergrad business. Please, tell us more.

Perhaps a better word for gender studies is “useless.”

The only thing dumb is OP's post.
