Son likes Axe and Adidas his aunt gave him last year for Xmas. He will sometimes ask me if he smells good. So cute. He’s 16.

Not a fan of scents anymore (since Covid, they make me cough), but this is adorable. Made me smile.

Cologne would just be for going out - just as a fun Christmas present. Thanks for the suggestions.

If your kid is wearing a shirt under his hoodie then washing it every time he wears it is overkill.

Bleu de Chanel is good, but popular yes. I would suggest these for high-schoolers:

Safe, all-rounders, just good smelling:

• Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme / Edition Blanche - these are more high-end designers, more upscale if that is your thing
• Versace Pour Homme / Dylan Blue
• Prada Luna Rossa / LR Carbon / LR Sport (whatever you like the most)
• MontBlanc Legend / Individuel
• A&F First Instinct / Fierce
• YSL L'Homme / L'Homme Ultime
• YSL Y (EdT or EdP)
• Coach for Men
• Mr. Burberry (EdT or EdP)
• D&G Light Blue Intense
• Bvlgari Aqva Atlantique

For the betterment of humanity, please don’t suggest this or Old Spice.

This. OP please make your son:

1) wear alllll the deodorant
2) shower at least once a day
3) do his own laundry regularly

All of these will go a long way.

I bet you regret posting this, OP. You’ve really riled up the I know better than you, moms. PP’s, pretty sure OP’s son bathes, has figured out how to wash his armpits, and wears deodorant.

OP, I’d recommend getting your son a fragrance sampler gift box from Macy’s, Sephora, or Ulta. They usually contain a coupon inside that he can use to buy the full bottle of whatever he likes best.

Make it your goal today to be more patronizing in any instance than the above post. I bet it will be impossible.

Not sure teenage boys can be entrusted with responsibe cologne use. They seem to wear it when they're 15/16. It makes them feel a little grown up. They think girls like it. By 17, they will discover showers and laundry and deodorant and they will be embarrassed by their Drakkar Noir stage.

+1 My teenage boy is meticulous about showering every night, deodorant, brushing + floss and NEVER skips. He likes to wear cologne too.

My teen loves his cologne. He will try the samples at Ulta, Sephora, etc. He says he likes the notes of different colognes 😁. He just bought a Versace cologne today. It is fun to go with him and he samples all the scents. I think any that you find in Sephora, etc are the popular ones.

My 15yo wears Dior Sauvage and my 13yo wears Creed Aventus. They both asked for those specific colognes, no idea how they picked them.
