UES is traditionally WASPY/ old money but now all kinds. Many families like it because it's close to some of the best private schools and it's quieter. The Far East side (Yorktown) is very young and traditionally had lots of post grads due to being cheaper than other parts of the city but closer to Central Park is some of the most high dollar real estate in the city.
Um, what? I had to check to make sure you weren't writing about Williamsburg or Crown Heights. UWS is full of liberal reform Jews. If you want next level-Judaism, go to certain parts of Brooklyn, where it looks like you're back in the 19th century.
