SodaStream v. SodaPenguin

Which is better? All I want is fizzy water (no flavors), and space is a big consideration -- we'll probably have it sitting out on the counter. Which system do you like?

We *just* bought a sodastream - got the starter Jet kit (from Amazon). We love Perrier here, so I was spending a fortune and had all those wasted bottles. It's been great so far! Don't know anybody with a Penguin.

PP here - it's very long and narrow, so it's not terrible on the counter space.

Penguin uses smaller glass bottles than the other models of SodaStreams - with a small kid and all three of us drinking a lot, we went with the system that allowed us to use larger bottles that won't shatter if dropped.

I LOVE my Sodastream. I just use it for plain water, ie seltzer. I get refills at Bed Bath Beyond w a 20% off coupon. It is one of my favorite kitchen gadgets and I have many; we love to cook, eat and drink!

Penguin owner here who only considered the Penguin because at the time we bought (three years ago) it was the only one with glass bottles. Not sure if this is the case now, but I sure didn't want any liquids sitting around in plastic bottles.

Couldn't love my Penguin more.
