space opening in licensed home daycare, 16th street heights NW DC

Anonymous
One full-time space just opened up in my son’s home daycare in 16th street heights/brightwood park. We absolutely love our daycare provider, Marilyn, and her assistant, Alba. They are loving, responsible, patient, creative and experienced. It is a bilingual daycare (Spanish/English) with a nice mix of kids, currently 3 who are between 8 and 13 months and 3 who are toddlers. There is space for a 4th, preferably 1 year or older. The two main teachers, Marilyn and Alba, have just hired another assistant, so the ratio will remain advantageous.
There is a separate space for babies and toddlers, although the two groups do socialize and mix during the day; there is a fenced in, lovely backyard, and the teachers do take the kids to the local park and to story time at the library. They also do a lot of creative learning projects, art projects, and so forth, and Marilyn has brought in music teachers for the kids and always comes up with fun and interesting activities. My child has really enjoyed being at the daycare and we are very pleased with everything (we actually changed from a center to a home daycare and are so glad we did since our boy gets lots of personal attention).
