How to kick someone out of a playgroup for being a nightmare

Anonymous
We have a wonderful playgroup with mostly nice moms and kids around 2 years old. There is one mom, however, who seems to think her kid is way more advanced and special than the rest of the children, and it is clear that she wants everyone to pay attention to her and her child as a result. She is constantly pointing out or trying to highlight ways in which she feels her daughter has surpassed the other kids in important milestones. Frankly the kid is not all that special, at least not that I've noticed, but even if she was it's just not that interesting to the rest of us. We are more concerned with having fun and raising nice, well-adjusted, happy kids. This mom is concerned with thinking her child is special. We can't deal with this mom anymore. How should we get rid of her?

This was rude and probably really offensive to the OP. You are taking someone's real life concerns and issues and making a mockery of them.

It is likely that the other moms (in the other posters playgroup) feel this way, but it was rude of you to mock the other poster. Offer something constructive!

I'm pretty sure both OPs are the same person.

is that you OP of the other thread? If it is, ask yourself why you need validation from an anonymous BB about your feelings of being snubbed for having an exceptional child.

nope, that wasn't the OP of the other post (who has repeatedly said that she isn't making it up...if you don't believe her stop perpetuating it by responding). But, I have been the victim of these needless attacks before and I think they are rude and degrading to the OP's. I am not a pushover and I won't let anyone do that to me or anyone else for that matter! If I don't agree with what someone posts and have nothing constructive to say, I dont' comment at all.

Being rude is a nasty habit. Please don't defend it!

OP and others....you are bullies.

Wow, someone is excited about their child and you want to toss them? Remind me not to join your group!

If this is in reaction to the other post, this is seriously one of the funniest things I've ever seen!
