The biggest scandal in the history of Sidwell will soon become public. Much bigger than this year's pedophile guilty plea. Very Very messy indeed.
I have been a part of the SFS community for ten (10) years, even while traveling all over the country the story and storm is swirling. Improper conduct by staff, teachers covering up, endless denials, shocking evidence, more than ten (10) law firms involved so far, VERY SAD for young kids. Adminstrators were told about this long ago. Dealing with the other sex scandal, this one was swept under the rug. When parts of this have surfaced before, those involved have rushed to post that it's no big deal. Maybe the machine will do so again. However, this is BIG. One interesting part is that one-third of the parents talk about this all the time, but two-thirds act unaware. When it's all over, this will be THE textbook case in private school GOVERNANCE FAILURE! Count the law suits. Count the resignations. The conduct is very wrong and very sad. |

Reminds me of the poster who kept insisting that the Obama girls were definitely going to Maret. Or the poster who kept saying the former Washington Latin head had some mysterious problem in his past, but never told us what it was.

| As a mom who just helped my DC apply to 9th grade at Sidwell, can't you spill a bit more? If parents are talking about it anyway...You'd do a lot of us a big favor if it's a safety issue for our kids. Anonymous is that way for a reason! |

Of course, you can post to DCUM from an iPhone (I do myself sometimes), so the poster may be in school during a lunch break. |

Nice try, but adults don't write like this. If you were traveling for work, then it wouldn't be hard to keep up with the school listserve and community. If you moved across the country it might be a different matter, but you didn't say that. So apparently you don't know much about the work world yet.... |

| This is the second anti-Sidwell screed today. I have heard nothing about this and I'm a pretty active member of the Sidwell community. I guess we will just have to wait and see if there is anything to this. Somehow, I doubt it. There haven't even been rumors of any scandal at the school. |
