When is the justice aystem going to learn to take the protection of girl children seriously?

It is not just MCPS that our community should be angry with.

I'm noticing a pattern here. Male gets charges dropped b/c prior ignored. Hmmm.

Did no one notice this little ditty? Apparently girls and women just don't matter that much in MoCo - that's the theme I'm getting

From the Bethesda mag article above:
On Thursday, Yantsos’ wife filed a protection order against him following his arrest, asking the court to restrict him from contacting her and his daughter, who is a minor, and his two stepchildren, but a judge denied the petition.

Also - I don't think that they've located him yet?

Moco Police arrested him Saturday after he failed to meet the conditions of his bond and continued tomhave sex with the minor. Here is the article:

The Parents' Coalition is definitely on the pattern of child abuse against girls:

If you look up his name in the Maryland Judiciary Case Search, you'll see the restraining order filed by his wife was denied due to "no basis for order."

+1. I'd like to know the name of the judge who gave him bond. That was a serious mistake. Pedophiles are raely able to restrain their behavior. Also, this guy had constant contact with his victim and slept with her, not just some kind of sexual touching. And he worked in a supervisory position to the girl. There are so many red flags here, I can't believe the jusge bonded him out.

AND, I'd like to know the name of the judge that refused the wife the restraining order. I am tired of the family law system not protecting wives and children in favor of the male interest in the child.

Also interested in learning the name of this judge.

Regarding the protective order from his wife/minor child, the case is described as "Domestic Violence." .

I heard a conversation the other day from someone who knows the family. This person was beyond shocked with everything going on. Would never have suspected it, or anything.

Considering those comments and assuming there has never been any violence shown to the wife, I can see how the "no basis for order" reason was given from judge.

If you have evidence of domestic violence of this guy towards his wife/family, please report it.

This article goes into more detail about his bond being set at $75K. State's attorney recommended it. The judge hesitated.

At first, Wolfe deliberated over his decision about the bond.

“I’m really on the fence as to whether I want to revoke your bond entirely,” Wolfe said to Yantsos, who appeared on video for the bond hearing.

The judge then said he agreed to the state’s attorney’s recommended $75,000 bond but said that if Yantsos communicated again with the alleged victim in any way, he would have Yantsos held without bond.

He is raping a minor. He should not have to prove that he is also raping his step children to have him kept away from them.

Ex cop, rapist security guard. I am sure he has a gun. Way to go Wolfe and Moffett. Bond... really? ... the state's attorney's office is pathetic.

OK, great, I really want to know the name of the state's attorney, in addition to the name of the judges. The state's attorney is supposed to prosecute crimes for the protection of the people. Why did he ask for only 75,000K bond? It seems that the evidence was quite strong. A presumption of innocence does not extend to the bond process, which is supposed to evaluate whether it is safe to release the accused to the community and whether the accused will return to trial.

Why does the law enforcement community -- on all levels -- fail to enforce the rule of law and a safe and secure community for girls and women? It is unacceptable.

We don't vote for District Court judges. This was a relatively minor crime and the defendant has a fixed address and had no history of not appearing in court thus the granting of bond.

He did not rape anyone. The age of consent in Maryland is 17. The only reason that he was charged is because he has institutional control over her.
