Re-enrolling for Congressional Camp. Their programs were just fantastic last year!

Norwood doesn't have a pool, so I think the 13:26 might be a little confused.

Yes. It is basically a frat house, unorganized, unsupervised, and run by an overgrown infant. I doubt that it even has a proper license. I speak from experience. If you want to spare your child the trauma of being humiliated, cursed at, teased by the owner, and being left unsupervised, then skip A Long Summer at Lourdes.

My kids really enjoyed Headfirst last summer and we just enrolled for Summer 2010 so we can take advantage of their Early Bird Special! www.headfirstcamps.com The counselors were teachers or professional coaches and built a great rapport with the kids! My daughter loved the multi-sports camp and my son loved both the basketball and soccer camps. They are adding instructional swim this summer...

Camp Arrowhead in Lewes, DE - fantastic overnight program on Rehoboth Bay - cannot beat the price, location and experience. My younger child 'did a taste' of camp last year (2 nights) and now as a rising 3rd grader will go for 2 week session. My older child has now been going for 3 years. Great 1 or 2 week overnight experience!

My kids cannot imagine a summer without Sidwell's Voyager program - all the fun water parks and activities they love to do and mom and dad would prefer they do with someone else! Nice to reward with a voyager week after some 'academic work' (e.g. KISS program was great to get the dreaded math packet done - my son loved doing it with a HS kid and not mom!).

My Child LOVED the National Building Museum Camp. It was the perfect mix of fun and challenging for her.

I agree with prior Madeira post. Great camp but would be even better if they facilitated friendship.

Potomac School camp put my 5 year old child on the wrong bus going home, argued with my nanny about it when she went to school to find him when he wasn't on the bus, and the camp rep was rude to me about it as well (all while my child was " missing"). Fortunately the school's security office jumped on the issue as soon as I called them and found my child quickly. Still, never an apology and we won't go back.

My kids also loved Headfirst camps, thanks for the Early Bird Special reminder, it will be over soon. I really like their new website. Have you been to the new location in Bethesda (Mater Dei School), it seems to be very nice but I've never been there. Anyone?

Does anyone have any feedback on the Fillmore Arts Camp in Georgetown? I visited two weeks ago just to check out the space and it is a very nice facility. The concerns I have is whether it is too big for a six-year old girl who has only gone to her school camp and also the swimming program. I spoke to the director and was not entirely comfortable on the chaperone issue at the pool. Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Headfirst Camps has a new location in Bethesda at the Mater Dei School. Great facilties as well as a pool that Headfirst will be using for instructional swimming. I am enrolling for the entire summer in their Day Camp for my 3 1/2 year old and also for my 7 year old in their multi-sports camp. They have a great deal going if you enroll in more than 5 one-week sessions; they give you 15% off by using coupon code "earlybird". good luck! Website is www.headfirstcamps.com
