Are there any genuinely normal, well-adjusted celebrities

Snoop did that interview with puppies thing and he is the only celebrity who did it sitting on a couch, rather than on the floor. I am guessing he refused to sit on the floor with the puppies. That's not normal.

Harry, who I love madly, deeply, and would marry if he asked, is not normal. At 16 his life changed and he has indulged a lot in what he can now access. He doesn't do anything normally.

So it’s not normal to not want a dog to poop and pee on you? 🤔

Harry is one of the few celebrities that takes public transportation and doesn’t have bodyguards or handlers with him when he’s out in public. Which is remarkable considering Harry’s fans are just as crazy as Swifties.

::raises hand:: Taye Diggs.

He sometimes teaches acting workshops and is VERY kind to his students and generous with his time, and remembers them years later.

Also, nothing about Lady Gaga is normal, but she seems incredibly kind. From how she's treated that boy she invited on stage to dance with her, to how she was so gentle with Liza Manelli, to the sweet pep talk she gave One Direction when they got booed at an awards show, and on and on.

Everyone else just gets down on the floor. And they don't pee and poo on you - have you never spent time with puppies? They won't go to the bathroom ON a person. Near, yes. On, no. Every other celebrity risks it.

I agree with your observation on Lady Gaga.

This is a weird thing to fixate on. Normal people make choices like this all the time. A normal, well-adjusted person might not want to sit on the floor because they are nursing a knee or back injury and don't want to get back up. They might be wearing clothes that make sitting on the floor uncomfortable.

Also, I know this is going to blow your mind, but there are normal, well-adjusted people who don't even like dogs.

+1.

+2 I happen to believe her PR is largely true. She's B/C list in terms of work projects and has some humility about that imo. What really separates her from the plebes is that she's super rich. But she's clearly a very hands-on mom for a celebrity and looks completely normal walking around.

Julianne Moore is similar, I think.

Jennifer Garner is kind of a genius for getting that Capital One gig. She can do the commercials and voiceovers (for radio/online ads) while her kids are at school and not miss a mom-beat. Gets paid MILLIONS for being their spokes person for years now. Does a movie every year or two for funsies. Has her farm food as her passion project.

And has volunteered with Save the Children for a long time. I think she’s a good person. Agree she’s done really well with balance.

Her family of origin is very normal and Jennifer graduated from a CTCL school, Denison.

Lol, no. But it's a testament to her and her publicity team that you think this.

please do go on

There is no way that Jennifer Garner is not weird in the way most very famous people are weird. It's not a personal insult to her. She does a good job of working her natural charm and "folksy" manner to seem down to earth, but I guarantee if she showed up in your office tomorrow, or you saw her in the grocery store, she would seem strange to you. She has lived an extremely not normal life, including being married to Affleck and going through a super public and terrible divorce, so it's unlikely she is "normal" in the way OP means.

But yes, it's impressive that she can still convince people that she's the lady next door. She is very good in that role. But it's a role.

There is one poster on here who has some super weird hatred of JG but it's all just stuff made up in her head. There are several people who over the years have posted that they actually know her IRL and she's a nice, normal person.

We know it's you, you always talk about her publicist. News flash: Jennifer Garner's publicist is not posting on DCUM, LOL! I would tend to believe the people who claim to know her IRL than some Ben Affleck fangirl who hates JG.

This. For sure.

I've only posted once about JG on DCUM in my life. I think the opposite is true - there is some sock puppeting going on about the love for her. Her and her publicist have worked magic.

Mayim Bialik has a PhD in neuroscience. Candace Cameron is always working. I’d say they’re all highly functioning. I’m thinking the show runners were careful about psychologically screening the children, but then again the Olsen twins were to young and they function just fine, you.

WTF? Mayim Bialik and Candace Cameron are both NUTS (in two very different ways).

I’d like to believe Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are normal.

Agree.

I worked for a hospital that would not let celeb’s get press for their visits.
People like Arnold Schwarzenegger are unlikely to ever go for that.

A few act like they’re in witness protection wearing caps and sunglasses everywhere even though there’s no one to see them and none of the other parents care. The more relaxed/normal ones are easy to spot and are genuinely open and nice. My kid is friends with several celeb kids and when they spend time at their homes they say the parents are nice, normal moms and dads.

This post is useless without names!

Emily Blunt is in the wpp
Peter Sarsgaard and Maggie Gyllenhaal seem pretty normal and down to earth.

People say Maggie gylenhaal is actually incredibly rude.

I believe it. I saw her interviewed about the Taylor Swift scarf thing and she played dumb and it was annoying. She seems snobby.

I’m friendly with MG irl (our kids are friends) and she is very shy but sweet and kind. Adored her kids and seems like a great mom, her kids are lovely.
