If she really suffers from trauma, going in patient isn’t going to help. She needs long term therapy. She is absolutely using this as a crutch and is hiding behind it. After all, the scene where she was short with nova when she got out of bed shows she’s fed up and this treatment takes all life’s stressors away. Sure we all get frustrated by our kids but I’d I’d been away from my kids for more than a month, I’d be able to handle a nap time. I think she is absolutely afraid and she absolutely thinks she NEEDS to be in patient. It should be the facility that should be working with her while she’s home (establishing a therapist locally, someone who can monitor her mess, etc) to find her footing. The facility is doing her no favors for allowing her to jump right back with them. |
I can't believe I'm saying this because I can't stand so many things about him, but she needs Dr. Phil. He was always so good about getting someone local intensive therapy and finding a good fit for them and following up. |
She obviously struggles with life but I agree she’s running away from her problems. Hopefully she can get to a place to deal with them. Tyler seems pretty frustrated, but also resigned to it. He’s used to taking care of people, so.
Ryan is a hot mess. If Mckrmzie grits her damn teeth any harder around him they’re going to breakZ |
Ryan looks like he’s on drugs again for sure. He isn’t making eye contact with anyone, his appearance is dirty and sloppy again, and he’s moody as hell. I feel so bad for his mom. Her heart is surely broken. How could Mack get herself pregnant by a heroin addict only a couple months out of rehab? So selfish.
Caitlin is so clearly unhappy to be home the first day back. They need to move out of Michigan. Living in such a depressing place can’t be helping. They both need a fresh start. |
They have squandered every opportunity they had to get their lives in order, go to college, get a career
Such a shame. All they do is wallow is self pity Perhaps it is unresolved grief or a sense of guilt in loosing Carli. I do not know. |
I have missed a few episodes. What is the trauma? Is it her mom as stepdad being addicts? Or giving up Carly? |
She stated on the reunion show that it is from: a) her mom being an alcoholic who would disappear a lot, b) dad abandoning her at age 12 for his second family, and c) placing Carly for adoption. I kept expecting her to say she was abused, and I believe she has said in the past that she was abused by April's boyfriend(s), but she didn't mention that. |
Her mom was horribly verbally abusive, even on the show. |
I think pretty much her whole life until she moved out after Carly was traumatic - they way her parents treated her, the way Butch treated her, the drunken fights, arrests - it's all traumatic. That said, I feel like she brings it up SO often that it's become a blanket excuse for anything that she doesn't want to do. |
I think Tyler has a chance. Her not so much. If he is going to be anything he's gotta leave. I don't understand why they don't have jobs at least? |
I think the jobs are flipping houses & the Tierra Reign. |
I agree. It’s a crutch for her at this point. I’m also glad to hear she finally quit smoking weed. I don’t think doing it on occasion is that bad for most people. But there is no way her daily habit was not contributing to her mental state. |
Would you still feel the same way if he were your daughter’s husband? Or your own? Your best advice is for him to leave the mother of his children because she has mental health issues? Admirable. |
Yes. She isn’t a healthy mother. She’s absent and disappears (one of her own traumas) to treatment all the time. She’s high all the time, and when she’s not, she’s depressed and crying or sleeping. That isn’t healthy parenting. Nova is still plastic, and she would adjust. It’s alsk not healthy for Tyler, who could move on and provide stability for Nova. Mom is not stable. Mom bolting is not stable. Moms depression is not stable. |
Carly is so lucky she got out, seriously. Poor Nova. |
