I’m curious about your habits and daily routines. How ford what you do each day set you up for success? How long do you sleep, what do you eat? How much do you work? What are your hobbies etc |

I'll bite (answering for a retired, but high achieving relative).
Wakes up early. If too early, will listen to radio in bed instead of going back to sleep. Showers and gets dressed quickly. Makes coffee and steel cut oatmeal with fresh fruit for breakfast. Works basically all day and night at his passion project, interspersed with sending joke emails to colleagues. Eats lunch, such as a tortilla, tuna or sardine sandwich, or soup. In the afternoon, goes on a hike. Continues working on various hobbies. (gardening, reading, writing, building things, outdoor projects, projects on the computer). Watches the news. Eats home cooked dinner and dessert (cooked by spouse). Brushes teeth immediately after. Continues working on passion project until bed time, interspersed with watching YouTube reels. Goes to bed at 9 pm. Reads in bed for an hour. |

+1 And the posts here are fictional |
My husband and I both have advanced degrees and grew up in poverty so I consider us high achievers. We've been empty nesters for 15 years now and are at the peak of our earning potential.
-wake up early -workout he lifting, me taking a weight lifting class or walking -work -I teach a fitness class after work, he's still working -eat together -go for a walk/talk about our day/plans for the next/plans for weekend -to bed early |
I know three men who likely fit OP’s criteria.
All three live in new-construction mansions in the $2 to $4 million dollar range in Fairfax. All three are in their 50s and have children. And all three have suffered major heart issues in the recent past; one had a triple bipass. Another had a stent, was advised to cut back on work, ignored the doctor’s advice, and is not doing well; likely headed for major surgery. Third is similar to the first two. Do you want to succeed like they have, OP? Just become a workaholic. You’ll get there. |
JD making $1.3. If that qualifies, here is my routine: 5:15 am: Coffee, email, professional reading, and update health spreadsheet. 6: Exercise 7:15: Shower 7:45: Breakfast 8: Standing call with colleague 9-5: Billable work and client calls 5-7: Admin work, professional leadership, and personal tasks, sometimes done while babysitting kid activities 7-9: Dinner and family time 9: Bedtime |
