All the brands with petite sizes I've tried seem to be getting longer and longer each year. Even my friends who are 5'5" - 5'6" have to shorten the hems of petite pants! |
ThreadUp. At least I won’t be out a lot of money if the fit’s off. But, I have found lots of pants there where the length is right. There is no consistency within brands, so I can’t recommend a particular brand. |
Anthropologie has good petite options |
Abercrombie and Fitch has a ton of petite options (which they call “short”) |
Old Navy, Gap, BR have decent petite offerings online. FatFace also used to have petite sizes but I haven’t shopped there in a while.
Check out TopShop & Uniqlo Or just pay to get the pants hemmed. |
Loft and Abercrombie have good petite options |
I'm 4'11" so I feel your pain. Even petites need to be hemmed on me. The bigger issue I have is that many stores have moved all their petites online. I find that to be an even bigger PITA.
I started a subscription box with The Short Story. So far the sizing has been pretty good. I've kept at least 1 item from each box and at least 3 of the items were jeans/pants. |
Mostly places with petite specific sizing: Banana Republic, J Crew, Boden, Ann Taylor and Loft. |
Ageee with all of these. I’ve found a lot at Loft recently. |
I go to current Boutique where I can try lots of brands and stuff is cheaper so I don't mind paying to get it hemmed. Recently I have gotten pants there from madewell, forever 21, and j crew. Macy's and Kohl's also had some things that worked for me. |
Lands end, but I actually found that their petite jeans shrunk and got too short! I am 5' 2". I never put them in the dryer. |
I keep going back to Loft because they have a decent selection of petites, plus curvy fit in pants. Old Navy, Gap, JCrew, Banana Republic as others have mentioned. I also buy regular fit in ankle length and that usually works well. |
Madewell
JCrew |
My not quite 5' tall and size XXS daughter has a pair of Spanx pants that fit her like it was tailored. She's totally not the Spanx demographic, so I'm not really sure why, but that could be an option for you as well. |
I've had some decent luck with Abercrombie & Fitch. They have an extra short length that works for me. (Just under 5') |
