What do you want for Mother’s Day, and what do you get your mother?

Title says it all.

I got myself a necklace, and my mother doesn’t do presents.

I would like a watch, some clothes and a mental break from cleaning, child rearing.

My youngest will order takeout and my oldest will get flowers from Safeway

They will help me garden for about 1 hour.

I don’t need a thing except for a thoughtful card picked out my by teen dc. Made brunch reservations for us. I’m separated from her dad.

I don’t really expect anything but any of the following would be great—new slippers, silk or bamboo pajamas, my favorite chocolates. I would also like to go out to one of the restaurants I’ve been wanting to try but my family gets super irritated if I want to go to any restaurant more than 15 minutes from our house, so that’s limiting.

I want to sleep in (DH to get up with kids and dog and make coffee), I want handmade cards from the kids, and I want to be off duty for all meals.

My mom is not local; she gets flowers and a card.

I want a quiet day and for the first time in years, that's what we're having. We'll go somewhere as a family, but mostly we'll be at home relaxing and I truly cannot wait. My mom isn't local and I sent her a card and money for her local gardening center.

I usually want help putting in my vegetable garden but climate change moved that timeline up. Hoping for a card/drawing from DD and brunch with the whole family (my mom included).

Got my mom a beachy sweatshirt to wear on our family vacation this summer that matches DD's, and will likely get flowers too.

I want a super cute daycare craft. And breakfast in bed orchestrated from my 2nd grader. Honestly it’s one of my most favorite holidays and I love all the little kid stuff and how exited they are to celebrate me. That’s really what it’s about. Not a bunch of exhausted 30-40 year olds celebrating their well rested moms.

I got my mom an antique that she’ll like.
