New pool - plaster has marks in it

We just had a new pool installed and the plaster (medium blue 'Wet Edge') has white marks in it. The contractor says they will disappear over a couple of months. Has anyone had a similar situation?

take lots of pictures and keep the document saying they'll disappear. revisit this summer.

We had a gray pool installed a couple of years ago, and there were some white streaks on the shallow platform area at the end. I pointed it out and they came and did some kind of treatment (acid wash, I think?) that faded the streaks and they said they would go away completely after a bit, and they did. You do need to brush the pool regularly when it’s new, especially if you have a darker color, or it will cure unevenly.
