Why do you post this every time someone asks abut CR in the summer? have you ever visited CR in June? June is fine, not too rainy. Real bad rainy season is Sept and Oct. |

| My CR travel agent did not recommend SJO at all. |

| From SJO I would do the usual loop= Arenal and Monteverde or if you want the beach head to Manual Antonio. |

I was just there but spent most of the time in the Osa Peninsula. If you’re interested in seeing wildlife and nature, it’s pretty great.
San Jose itself iis worth a day of exploring, visit the Mercado central. On the return I stayed in Alajuela, which I found more charming and less busy than San Jose. The airport is actually in Alajuela. In the Central Park, Alajuela, on a Sunday afternoon, salsa music was playing and couples, old and young, thin or not so thin, some beautiful but most not, were salsa dancing. It was very joyous. |
