Teacher appreciation week - infant daycare

Anonymous
What is appropriate to get our daughter's teachers? She is still in the infant room. I figured we should definitely do something for them given how much they positively impact my daughter.

Is a $15 - 20 starbucks gift care too generic?

For Christmas I gave teachers $25 Starbucks cards, so I think it's fine.

Amazon is better for elementary teachers bc they like to buy school things.

15 to 25 is perfect. Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, Amazon.

And just as a side comment to the above poster, I wish teachers would spend that money to treat themselves rather than for the class. They deserve it.

We do the gift cards for each and a box of donuts or cookies or some sweet treat with a cute note from Pinterest.

PP. Understand the point. But to me Amazon is the most versatile gift card option. It can be used as treats for self or whatever. It's just true that many teachers are interested in acquiring specific items for their rooms. As I mentioned, I have also done Starbucks gift cards. I find Amazon easier to remember to use for myself.

Target or Amazon gift cards are way more useful than Starbucks. I've still got Starbucks cards from years and years ago.

It’s also nice to ask if they need anything for the classroom and get that in addition to a gift just for them! (We also ask this a few times a year anyway, and the answer is always yes— always need more markers, paper towels, etc!)

If you have the budget go $50-$100. You want the teachers to feel like it’s worth it to do small extras for your kid.

We did $25 to the nearest coffee/snack bar option at our first childcare.

Our current childcare, a federal center with a parent board, surveys the teachers when they're hired about their favorite color, snacks, teams, hobbies, and place to receive a gift card and it is sooooo helpful for teacher appreciation week. If you have the ability to suggest something like that I highly recommend. I bought all the teachers we're recognizing their favorite gift card at one trip to CVS, extremely simple. (Apple, Target, and Dunkin if you're curious)
