Do the congressional hearings reveal who congress thinks are “elite” schools?

For example, UPenn, Harvard, and MIT forced to testify. Now Yale, UCLA, and Michigan also are testifying this month.

No Wisco or UT Austin, despite extensive protests and clash with police.

Northwestern added too.

Not only. I mean who’s heard of Wisco? Is that in Texas? Only because you mentioned Austin. Seems the flagship state school.

Congress is a bunch of clowns. Not sure you can read anything into these ridiculous hearings. Even if the hearings were somehow a signal that they think these colleges are elite, I don’t know why that would be something anyone would take pride in considering the morons in congress.

Also, can we stop calling it Wisco?? Is this an east coast or DC thing? I never heard anyone call it that until I moved out here. It’s so bizarre. I lived in Chicago for years and know quite a few people who went to Wisconsin. “Wisco” is not a thing.

So now Princeton, Stanford, Berkeley, Duke, Rice, Brown, Vanderbilt not congress approved?

Didn’t used to be, but it does seem to be a thing now. It’s a hashtag world we’re living in.

Well, Rutgers as well. It seems so baffling to me that Madison, of all schools, wouldn’t get grilled. The Sterling hall incident, along with the rest of the Vietnam War Protests in the 70s, are well known by American conservatives. William F Buckley couldn’t stop ranting about Madison progressives.

It’s because those schools deescalated by compromising w students. Brown did too, but no call from Congress

Congressional summons not yet included in the USNWR rankings formula.

I lived in Chicago and Minneapolis in the mid 90s and people there called it Wisco back then.

Not the prior person complaining, but I grew up in Chicago in the 1990s and never heard the term Wisco. But my wife is a Wisconsin native and said she heard it from transplants. I think it is more common now, but Wisconsin natives don't really say it. It is more like people from Michigan or Minnesota. She's heard it on college campuses like Marquette and UW where they have a lot of OOS and international students. Not common, but she's heard it.

This. Those idiots waste so much time pretending to care about the grievance du jour so they can avoid doing their actual jobs. Useless halfwits.
