Too many away suitcases

I used to marvel that there were so many kinds of carry ons. I got an away suitcase and I like it fine, but omg there are so many of them! I can’t think of why I would check it but I dread gate checking it. Even with a tag I feel like someone could easily walk away with the wrong one. I feel like I need to put stickers on it or something.

I highly recommend bucking trends with luggage purchases. I have a carry on and suitcase that look nothing like 95% of bags (bright color that is not black/blue/red/gray, shape and styling also different). I don't know why people follow trends with luggage, as it definitely ups the odds you will mix it up.

I don’t think I was trying to follow a trend, I just kind of buy whatever wirecutter recommends that is not the most expensive for stuff like this because I don’t want to buy something crappy by accident or spend a lot of time researching.
