Postpartum Quick Trip Ideas?

Anonymous
Before going back to work I’d love to take a quick weekend trip. I would love a longer trip but we have two other kids which makes it not possible. My partner is “gifting me” a weekend away while they take care of our other two kids but I haven’t a clue where to go. I’m too sleep deprived to plan and the baby is glued tight to my hip and oh baby will be coming with me too. I need some ideas - an hour away? I’d love to go with one my other moms but not sure who would be up for it?! Thx!

A trip with a newborn glued to you doesn't sound particularly wonderful. That said, if you just want to nurse and sleep and chill without worrying about anything else, maybe two nights in a super fancy hotel with great room service and a really comfy king-sized bed.

Four Seasons? Ritz? Waldorf Astoria?

Salamander. And hire a babysitter to watch the newborn while you get a massage, then go for walks on the grounds and swim with your newborn.

This would be my recommendation too. Somewhere that you can just get pampered for a little. Yeah, you'll have the newborn but no other kids and no household responsibilities. Will still be a nice break!

What about those fancy postpartum hotels? I think there’s one in NYC.
