Pass down knowledge before leaving

I just find out that my coworker finds a new job and leaves next week. It has been me & she work on these projects, and she is the one doing the most important part meeting client etc..Well, boss is aware of this. I have reached out to her to pass me knowledge in email in a professional way when I find out that she is leaving the company, and I have not heard from it. I was supposed to learn what she does last year, but she has not been actively trying to train me and passing me the knowledge. I am getting worried once she leaves, how do I handle all these without knowing much going on. Would I be screwed up or not should I be worried? I will try to reach out again in 2 days if I don't hear any response.

Call her directly. Some people really do not care and will leave no information.

The boss should mandate a transition memo due a couple days before the last day so you can review and make sure all questions are answered.

How much time has passed since you send the email? Be patient.

The time to speak to your boss was when she was supposed to train you and wasn't doing that. It's not going to be a good surprise that this wasn't happening. Loop them in as soon as possible, figure out the top things that you need to get answered, and ask for assistance. But at this point, no one can really make your coworker help you.

Lol, no. Don't "be patient" OP. This person is likely not going to give you this information willingly -- this is a regular thing; people want to leave and have things implode. They think it will make their former job see how valuable they actually were. Or it is just petty revenge. Or whatever. Talk to your boss about any and all concerns you have regarding the transition and have a list of exactly what you need from the departing colleague.
