Is street hockey dangerous?

| When my son played, it looked to me to be very slow-going. But all the kids were good friends and checking each other was kind of bumping each other shoulder-to-shoulder, and goalies were in charge of yelling "car!" for the direction they were facing. |

| My son plays on a street hockey league and loves it! Relatively safe sport if you wear the helmet and shin guards and elbow pads. He has played for years and I have never seen anyone with a serious injury. Kids can fall pretty easily or get hit with a stick or the ball. No one on any of the teams ever has injuries that take them out of the entire game. They might sit out for a few minutes and then they are back in. |

My kid plays both indoors and outdoors and the team is co-ed. The best defense player is a girl and the other teams are afraid of her. Lol.
Pretty safe. |
