Herndon club

Anyone have insight into it? We live closest to it but haven’t heard or read much here about this club.

It’s very good.

Good at younger age groups but not as much in older age groups in our experience on boys side.

So at what age would you consider Moving to a different club? I have a young boy there currently.

Thanks for the detail. Now can someone that is not a troll give more detail on the program?

don't know anything about the girls side, but we were happy the season DS played there. Coach (AM) cared and was able to motivate my player, other players were nice and families were friendly.

I think with every club, you'll get some that are cheerleaders and some that feel their child has been slighted and thinks the club is the worst. Not really sure how anything anyone says here will help. If you have a specific question, someone might be able to answer.

Why did your DS leave? Do you think this is a club worth moving over to at U11/U12 for boys? Someone mentioned it's not as good at the older ages, but not sure what that means. Would not want to move only to want to move again in a couple of years, if we can avoid it...

Most serious soccer players move every year, PP. You need to get used to this idea if your kid is serious about playing at a high-level.

I just don't think this is accurate. At least not in my experience and what I've seen in the 10 years I've had sons and daughters playing youth soccer. Yes, there is some turnover, but it's not like all the top players bolt every year.

We moved to a bigger ECNL club at U12 because some of DS friends were already there and he wanted to be in mix for the ECNL team the following year. We had friends who stayed who remained happy there, however. Ultimately I think it depends on what you and your player want. We had friends who stayed at Herndon and were happy with the club and their coaches.

No team or club is right for everyone. That’s just the reality.
If you’re changing every year, however, you need to stop and think. Your kid will get a reputation for that and clubs will pass.
