Has anyone taken this course online? As a virtual class, is it a lot of work or pretty easy? Looking to take this in addition to the other 7 required courses during 10th grade. So, full year with 8 classes.

Why would your child do that?

Take it in the summer self paced or AP Economics also meets the requirement.

My DCs all took the summer EPFs. They worked at their own pace and got it done easily.

It's not super fast b/c there are a lot of modules and videos to click through. But it is also very doable. I think mine did it in a couple of weeks.

Lot of busy work, iow. And I have to say, FCPS did a great job of making a super important and useful topic for these kids into something that was utterly stupid and boring.

Kids (or parents) overly invested in GPS want the honors grade bump, probably.

My son took EPF HN during the school year and hated it. He said it was way too easy and a waste of his time and he wished he had taken it over the summer and gotten it out of the way. There was never enough work to do in an entire 90 minute block session so there was a lot of just sitting around. My daughter will be taking self-directed over the summer this year.
