Can you please recommend your favorite overnight summer camps? Thanks.

Can you be more specific?

What location? Price? Length of time? Any particular activity? Rustic or not?

We booked ours in January :/

For a boy or girl, and age?

OP here. Girl, age 11. Something within driving distance of DMV area - up to 2 hours. Not too rustic - was hoping to find maybe an air conditioned cabin. That might be a stretch!

Our daughter loved Camp Hidden Meadows. But it’s more like a 4 hour drive, in W. Virginia

They do run a bus from Northern Virginia if you don’t want to drive

Air conditioned sleep away? I got nothing

But Camp Letts (www.campletts.org) is under an hour from the DMV, is affordable because it's a YMCA camp, and my kids (one boy, one girl) have enjoyed it

DD goes to this camp and really likes it. Very reasonably priced for the DMV.

+ 1 for Sandy Hill. It does book out in November so keep an eye out for the summer of 2025 registration

I looked at that one but it seems to be way more expensive than most of the other camps. But I do like the idea of the air conditioning.
