New AP at Williamsburg

Willamsburg Parents beware. Syphax is recycling the special education compliance officer. This person is notorious for fighting special education parents but will now be in charge of this at Williamsburg.

I thought they were brought in because of all of the complaints about kids needing more support at Williamsburg? Williamsburg has been notoriously terrible about giving kids the support they need.

Williamsburg actually has a better rep. You might be thinking of swason. Overall APS sped is terrie.

This new AP has no interest in doing what’s best for our sped kids. She will fight parents till she exhausts and financial drains then. I’m sickened to see her as a VP

Why would I be thinking of Swanson? I personally know three families who have had an increasingly difficult time from 6 to 8th grade with getting the support they need for their kids.

Well this AP isn’t going to help make things better. She is being moved due to budget cuts (her position was eliminated)

OMG. Koval is moving to WMS? I feel so awful for those kids. Particularly the disabled ones. She was so terrible to all SWD families at Syphax.

Duran should have just let her leave.

I don't know how APS works. Does Syphax administratively transfers APs or does the principal hire them?

Just curious if anyone knows.

If APS is interested in fixing the problems at WMS, this person is the last person they would bring in.

Not the OP, but I'm quite sure this person is thinking of WMS, which has had a terrible and very well deserved rep for SPED for quite some time.
