How many classes?

My wife and I, both experienced teachers, are considering a long move to the Reston area. Can anyone who works in FCPS give us an idea of a typical teacher schedule for MS and HS? How many classes, hours and students? We heard the workload is high so are curious. Thanks!

Unless you are on an extended contract, you'll teach five classes plus an advisory.

General education MS and HS teachers of academic classes usually have 130-150 students. PE and some electives teachers have 130-200 students.

MS teacher contract hours are approximately 7:00-2:45. HS contract hours are approximately 7:30-3:15. Those aren't exact, but close. Of course you'll work several hours per day longer than that though.
