Ladies, have you ever dated a much younger man?

How was it?

Dating? Not really. FWB, yes. Currently also. Mid 40s. He is 31. We have been on dates. Enjoying it while it lasts.

Have been in two other similar situations...one was 18 months (he was 37-38; I was 43-44) and the other was a year (he was 27...I was 45).

I’m 57 and I get proofed at J. Gilberts all the time, he’s 27 and he thinks I have amazing cheekbones.

No, still interested in older men.

Yes once - it was incredibly hot. I was 31 and he was 20. (We never slept together but heavy flirting…it was a weird kind of fling.)

OP are you also watching the idea of you?

When I first got divorced for some reason the only men I met were 5-10 years younger. I was 43 dating a 35 year old and at 44 dated a 37 year old. The 35 year old had young children and the 37 year old was childless. My kids were later high school. It was fun but was never meant to be long term.

I ultimately ended up remarrying a man four years younger than me which I wouldn’t consider much younger.

My XH and all the boyfriends I had prior to marriage were all 1-3 years older than me. I never dated a younger guy until after my divorce.

Its almost always better to date people your own age group but if you've no options whatsoever, try whoever is available.

It's kind of amazing being in my mid-40s dating a man 10 years younger because he is giving me the stamina, short refractory period, passion and enthusiasm I have missed, but I am giving him an absolutely mind-blowing time too and he shows his appreciation.

Is your husband a breadwinner or you are? What about these other younger guys - who paid for dates, did their lifestyle match yours etc.?

I am 51 and I seem to attract men 10 years younger than me or even younger. I am just going with it. They are all very nice people, and I am thankful for my time with them, even if my current 36 year friend does not see a future with me. I can’t see myself marrying again.

I had a FWB who was 20 years younger. It was fun the first time (he’d been trying for years) but I couldn’t get past the age difference.

Yes! Right now. I’m in my 40s dating someone in their early 30s. I much rather be with a younger man than one on their 40s.
