Is it worth it in terms of taste and presentation? Should i add it to my chef's dinner in France?
I do eat meat so i don't have any qualms with that respect. They are ethically farm raised, so no hunting for endangered songbirds |

Im quite sure it's illegal no matter how they are raised. Also do you know how you are supposed to eat it? I love meat and it makes me queasy. I'm not an owl spitting out pellets.
I would suggest skipping. It's horribly cruel, they are so close to extinction, I really would not support an industry that tries to skirt the law and serve this, nor would I want to eat an animal into extinction. |

| My parents had them back in the 60's when they were quite commonly served. They said the crunch of the bones wasn't appealing. Why eat something like that when there is so much delicious food to eat? |

I had it once in the very early 2000s. And yes, it was just as you've probably read--a completely complex experience with flavors that are literally not found anywhere else.
You can still find it in France but you have to be in the know. The illegality of it now just adds to its illicit luxury. |

Because they are an endangered species, obviously. I don’t eat condor eggs or Siberian tigers either. |
