It's our turn - what snacks have been popular with kids lately? |
Oranges |
Omg not fruit, kids don’t want fruit as a snack after soccer.
Assorted chips Small containers of pringles Individual Oreo packs Popcorn Individual packaged Rice Krispie treats All the above are huge hits after our soccer games. Some parents do Gatorade too |
This. Old school style, cut into wedges and in giant tubberware containers. I wish all the junky over the top snacks would stop. The last parent that did snacks order those cheap string backpacks and filled them with goldfish, fruit snacks, and custom decorated sugar cookie. It’s a 40 min T- ball game. Is this really necessary? |
We give mandarins. I'm not passing out junk food. Honestly they don't even need a snack at all. |
No need for a snack |
My kids and their teams LOVE the oranges cut in wedges. |
Pizza |
Individual anything for snack - chips, cookies, Goldfish, popcorn. And Gatorade or similar sports drink. I don’t think snack or sports drink is necessary, but I give the kids what they want. |
They don't need a snack. However since it's so common our kids have appreciated:
- Pop corners - Animal crackers (frosted & unfrosted) - Pop smart Gatorade or juice pouches are a near must. |
Same. At halftime though. Bring a bag for trash. |
Orange wedges create sticky trash and sticky hands for the car. I’m all for healthy snacks, but I’d save oranges, watermelon, etc for play dates and keep it simple for after sports. Prepackaged is the way to go because they can eat or keep for later. |
So you have your kid participate in athletic activity and then fill them with processed junk food? No wonder America is obese. |
Of course your kids don’t WANT that stuff because you feed them junk! Good Lord. |
If it's this hot and you can take a cooler, popsicles are a huge hit. |
