When to arrive in London for a Fri night concert?

What is the latest or ideal time to arrive and not be jet lagged?

Did this a few years ago for a wedding. Flew late Wednesday, arrived Thursday morning, stayed up until a normal bedtime Thursday, and was fine for a late night on Friday.

Back when I was a fun party person, I'd land in Europe from the US around between 7 and 10 in the morning. I'd eat breakfast, stroll around, eat lunch, then check into my hotel around 2 pm, shower and take a nap until 6 or 7 pm (set an alarm. You have to set an alarm, and maybe request a wake-up call, too).

Then I'd wake up and go out around 8 pm and party until 6 am, which only feels like 12 am to your jet-lagged self. So I guess I'd say it's do-able on the same day if you are strategic and fully committed to that afternoon nap.

Ideally you would get in Wednesday morning, pass out early that night, have all of Thursday and go to the concert Friday night.

I did this 4 years ago and arrived the day of the concert. I was seeing HS friends was so amped up that jet lag never really happened. But I would say the day before just to get situated. You're also dealing with the opposite time to be tired - when the concert is going on at 8pm, it will 3pm here. You'll probably want to sleep in the next day.

I'm seeing her 6/21. Arriving 6/19 in am. Now it costs a to switch flights so I will leave as is. Thanks! I wish they had those daytime flights!

I am not the PP, but I saw a concert at Wembley last summer and we took the Tube. Getting there was fine, but getting back took awhile because it was very crowded. Security was good, though, and it was as efficient as it could be, but just be prepared.
