I want to plan playdates, and our house is off limit. We don't mind paying money for activities, and I need fun ideas that can encourage close friendship 1:1. Playground seems kind of lame for 2nd grader boy. For indoor playground, I can't guarantee that they will play together since they go off one spot to next spot. Movie is boring, and I hate video game. We don't have video game at home. What do 2nd garder boy do for playdate? |
My 3rd grader loves playground play dates or any kind of park.
You could also do bowling, arcade, trampoline place, ice or roller skating, rock climbing, etc. Anything active is typically a hit |
We typically do play dates at home, but I have a few ideas. My 2nd grader likes bowling, arcades, and the trampoline park. The first two still give them a chance to interact a good deal— maybe not trampoline park as much, but it’s still a fun activity.
If your kid and his friends like sports, you could take them to a park to play basketball, football, kickball, etc. My kid will also still play at a playground, but he has younger siblings and usually only does it when we’re with another family that also has mixed age kids. |

Why is your house off limits? And since when do 2nd graders not like playgrounds?? |
