DD's waitlist for Macarthur dropped 50 places, but the number is still above 80. How often will the waitlist be updated going forward or should we assume this is it?

It should update continuously as people get offers, gain sibling status, and leave the waitlist without getting offers. I think DCPS wants to fill the school as planned and will likely make offers at least until the first day. |

| I think they made a bunch of offers at end of last week to try to bolster enrollment by 5/1. No one can really predict what will happen next or the timing because it's still a relatively new school AND they need to plan to accommodate all IB/feeder enrollment, which isn't always known until the first day of school. My guess is that there will be a decent amount more movement, but it's really up in the air when it might be. |
