Peach fuzz

I fear the time has come for me to do something about the light blond hairs springing up on my face (I'm mid-40s). I've never given this much thought (only hair-related maintenance I've done to my face involves darkening my eyebrows). But there are increasing spots here and there that I'd like to address. Waxing? Something else?? Preference to manage at home.

People do dermaplaning but I don't believe that hair doesn't grow back darker or thicker
The few hairs I pluck do!

I too have a ton of peach fuzz. I've not tried it, but I've seen so many videos of people "shaving" their face. Not using a regular razor, it's a special little facial razor. Kind of like dermaplaning? Apparently you can do it at home. I've been wanting to try it but havent taken the plunge.

I get a facial with dermaplaning before big events. While I do have some darker chin hairs, this process doesn't turn them all dark - I still have a million blond ones, so don't let that hold you back. I am thinking of trying to find someone to do electrolysis bz laser wont work on the blond hairs.

I shave with a men’s razor.

I started derma planing a few months ago and love it (I'm in my 50s). It really makes my skin look amazing, products go on so nicely and there has not been any noticeable "dark" or "thicker" regrowth. I def. feel it makes my skin look and feel "younger" because it exfoliates as well. I use the Michael Todd dermaplane which is easy to use.

I shave it off weekly, just dry with a regular razor. Super easy and I've been doing this for a decade.

I use a tinkle razor to thin the heard once a week or so. I'm blonde and it got to be too fuzzy.

Shave it

I also use a tinkle razor and tweezers for the few dark ones. I’ve been shaving for years and it has not increased the darkness or thickness of the fuzz.

Dermaplaning super easy to do at home

I just went to my dermatologist about this and she recommended The Epilator. It’s like shaving but with mini tweezers. Apparently it hurts like hell but works and doesn’t cause stubble like shaving. I just ordered mine on Amazon.

Ok I tried it and it’s very painful. Way worse than waxing. Has anyone else tried this? Does it get better?

For those who home-dermaplane with a twinkle type razor, how do you get the shave close enough? I have tried shaving my face with a twinkle razor a number of times and it always leaves a short stubble which I fear looks even worse in bright/natural light than the original hair did?
