I'm having lower back pain and trouble strengthening my core or even doing exercises for my core. Looking for a physical therapist who is excellent at helping with this. Prefer one who takes insurance, but am willing to try others.
Any suggestions? |
You need a pelvic floor PT, and the good ones are all in private concierge practice and have months long waiting lists. If your insurance covers this (doubtful), you can ask the PT for a superbill and try to get reimbursed, or, if you have an FSA/HSA you may be able to pull from that.
~private practice pelvic PT (not in DC area). |
GW pelvic floor PTs are better than VHC's if you are looking at a practice that takes insurance. For one that doesn't take insurance, I really like Thrive Again PT. |
Thank you - I didn’t realize this was considered pelvic floor |
Thank you - anyone specific at GW? |
i saw Caroline Namey in DC, at Washington Wellness. She solved all my problems and is excellent with all post-partum (even years out) care.
She is out of network, but gave me a superbill and my insurance covered some of it. Very worth it, though, and very easy to get an appointment (because of the insurance thing). I think I booked an appointment the same day. |
Oyinda And Carla are good. My favorite was Elicia Jacobs but seems like she moved https://embodypth.com/ellicia-jacobs-dpt |
