Interview?

Last week on Thursday I received an email to confirm if I wanted to interview. I send a nice response back and have not heard anything for 3 business days.

What would you do if you were me?

Don't take it too hard. I spoke with someone in HR on a Wednesday who emphatically said the hiring manager liked my resume and she'd be sending me dates to meet shortly. I went the entire weekend and didn't hear back from her until Monday afternoon. It was definitely a depressing Friday when it hit 48 hours and I figured I was already out of the running.

How interested are you? I guess it's fair to wait a week before following up. But generally I don't trust recruiters/HR, and have been ghosted too many times to be optimistic in these situations.

Oh, so I was ghosted!! First time it's happened to me in a professional setting from a future employer/boss.

Why can't they write a polite, sorry we ended up going a different route e-mail? I waited all weekend and by Tuesday knew something was not right.

Otherwise you end up just sort of waiting and wondering for DAYS!!
