The acceptance letter says by May 1st but not time. |
Really, any time is fine. They want yield/students. I wouldn't be surprised if their portals are actually open until midday on the 2nd. If you call on the 2nd, I'm sure they would still take your money. |
Waiting until the last day is a horrible idea |
+1 This is how people screw up- waiting till the last minute. What if your credit card had fraud and you couldn't use it that day? What if it didn't recognize you in the system or your password got compromised? |
Cutting it so close that you need to know if the deadline is 5 pm or midnight (and it’s probably one of those) is a really bad idea, but if it really matters, confirm with the school. |
Yea. If anything unexpectedly goes wrong, then SC might be shut out. |
Well, here we are.
Still waiting from the aid request at one school to avoid losing a $900 deposit at the other school. It is absolutely going to blow to throw away $900 if May 2nd we hear back from the other place. |
Ask the school if they will provide you an extension until May 15. Many “May 1” deadline schools will provide the extension if you ask, due to the FAFSA delays. |
Yes - ask for an extension. Several schools said to call them if you need more time to review offers. |
Need help deciding? We were down to the wire too. |
