List price was just lowered by $96K, will you choose this kind of unique house or regular/ standard houses?

- modern style elevation
- two-story family room
- many windows facing backyard

Are those feathers plus or minus?

You look at everything, the location is desired by many. The price drop is minor and not a big factor if you’re looking in this neighborhood.

When the "unique" aspect to a house is its hideous front elevation, I don't care how the rest of the house looks. Can't imagine having to pull into my driveway every day and look at that.

I actually like the front elevation. I was kind of disappointed by the rest, to wit:

The entry/"hall"/dining area from the front to the back. That's a lot of wasted space to me. The front hall table idea/concept is fine, but then there's a bunch more space and then boom, there's your everyday table. I don't like it.

The kitchen is very nice, but there's no spark. And are we still doing that style? I feel like there was a desire to be ultramodern but they couldn't quite get there. I also don't know why this was staged with a formal dining area allll the way across the house from the kitchen.

I usually don't like a two story family room, but I like this one. And I love the built-in bookshelves/reading nook.

The rest is basic and I am underwhelmed.

Last, the windows are gorgeous - but I'm really distracted by the fact that outside every window are views of your neighbors' houses, their garbage cans, the street, etc.

Overpriced.

Le sigh. Not everyone can live in Langley Oaks on a half acre lot. Have some compassion for the poors.

Those are some mighty big windows to have for staring at the neighbor’s house.

I would like it somewhere more isolated. As it is, the neighbors are going to see straight into the house whether they want to or not. Those huge windows are a problem, not a selling point.

Wow. That’s not unique. Falling water is unique. It’s a garage house. With storefront windows. That towers over the neighbors. Lots of blank graffiti walls. So many bad decisions. They should turn it into commercial or retail since it comes with easy the loading docks.

One of the ugliest houses I've ever seen.

+1 that got a Scooby Doo-style YOINKS! from me.

That balcony with a yard is bizarre. I feel bad for the neighbors having to view this 24/7.

We saw this house about a year ago. At that time, it had already been listed for several months.

I sort of liked it. It has some nice finishes, and I appreciated that it stands out to some extent from most new builds, even those in its price range.

For me the dealbreakers were 1- No living room and the main living space is an enormous kitchen/breakfast area/dining room/family room combo lacking clearly separated spaces; 2- Large windows and being at the top of a hill means either spending a fortune on window coverings or just being OK with many people being able to see into the house; 3- The deck does not connect to the backyard; 4- The neighborhood is fine but is a mix of new and old houses and for that price it did not excite me. As is not uncommon in Mclean, the house is close enough to neighbors that other houses dominate most of the views.

I think it is priced correctly based ONLY on square footage, age, and level of finishes, but I think the drawbacks will keep anyone from pulling the trigger at that price.

Nice home, but too expensive.
