The actual root of the problem is boys and men so full of RAGE, they eventually retaliate against society or Jill themselves.

Boys without responsible fathers in their homes are boys growing up on the streets. The gangs are showing them how to be men.

a truck is used for transport, a high powered rifle is used for hunting or defense, a rifle in the hand of a bad guy can kill innocent people, a truck in the hand of a bad guy can kill even more people, ban assault trucks now!

The actual root problem is whatever is causing all that rage and hopelessness. The standard of living in this country is in free fall, and the "American Dream" is more and more out of reach. Young people are angry and despairing. Some of them turn to drugs and alcohol, some to gangs and violence, others are getting arrested in protests turned near revolt because NO ONE IS LISTENING. Our society is sick and our young people are screaming for help.

No matter what side of these issues you fall on, you can see that what we are doing is not working.

A high powered rifle is used to kill, doesn't matter if it's a bad guy or a child.. it is used to kill. It is not a weapon that a civilian needs.
