Do you rinse them? I've seen this method using a salad spinner to rinse them to get the baking soda off.

We just buy frozen when we want them in the off season. Can defrost just the right amount and they're U.S. grown.
In season, get to the farmers market before it's hot and the berries last longer than if you buy them midday when it's hot. But any berry variety that lasts for weeks may have been bred for longevity and transportation rather than flavor. |
Yup, I rinse them after the baking soda bath. But it mostly dissolves in the water. It's been a lifesaver! |
