Are the neighbors seeing us naked? Shower window

Anonymous
Bought a house with a window like this one in the shower - one window not two. Our back of the house faces the front of theirs in a townhouse layout. The bathroom in question is located in the back of the house. I can see the top of the bathroom door in the reflection which makes me think it sits high enough up but I just met these people and they just moved in after we did.

What are the chances the reflections from below are broadcast outside?

Unlikely. If you’re concerned frost the window.

Make it worth their while.

If you put your eyes at boob level in the shower can you see their window? What about at crotch level? If you can’t see the window from any level of interest, they can’t see there either.

Then your neighbors can tease you instead by saying, “Hey 1988 called…..they want their window(s) back!!

Lol.
Btw, OP if your shower looks that good I totally envy you.

That is an absolutely beautiful 🚿.

That is our shower. I can tell you that if you take a reasonably hot shower, the windows fog over. If you are still concerned, buy some opaque window privacy film on Amazon.

In this scenario, you are seeing the door reflected on the inside glass of your own window, right? Your neighbors cannot see that reflection from the outside of the window.

I guess you could have a mirror in the bathroom that shows the shower and is visible through the window but their eyeline would need to be as high or higher than the window.

How tall are you?

If you can see them, they can see you. But also, if it's daytime then they are probably seeing a window reflection. If it's nighttime and you have a light on, then they can see the light.

Not watching you. But that woman your husband brings over occasionally is quite attractive and they seem to have a good time.

Our bathroom also has windows that start at/near my shoulder height and I didn't think the neighbors could see through them. They could. I think it was from when we walked away from the windows and were further back in the room. I bought window film asap and all is well.

Thanks PPs! I have to ask, did you openly ask them? I don’t necessarily know how I would want to bring up the subject. This is where I was curious too - is it the further back from the shower reflection that they would be able to see if any?

Do films unstick when it’s in a humid room? I know wallpaper does but are the films meant for bathroom or shower windows?

My neighbors added a master suite on the ground level during covid and the bath has windows like this. Yes, I can see the wife's boobs from my DD's second floor bedroom window, especially if it is night. I can't see below her belly button though. We thought about telling that but its just weird.

We didn't ask directly but the topic was referenced at a late night 'happy hour' event. We really didn't think they could see in; they could.
