| How long does MCPS keep records of IEP's? We were in the system from Infants and Toddlers to 4th grade. If the need arises, how far back can they look? |

| If your child is still in MCPS, their confidential file is still there. That said, nobody really looks at it unless there is a reason. If you want them to look at the old IEP, they can do that. |

You can definitely ask to look through the records. I’m not sure if you can request a copy. If your child has an IEP or 504 you should have gotten a copy of any documents that were put in the file. The schools are out of copy paper anyway…. |
