Boots for the really hot days

Anonymous
Can anyone recommend a dog boot that's somewhat easy to get on? I have these that I've used for snow/rain and they work well but are a PITA to get on my dog. Between having to chase my dog down (he runs at the sight of them) and the velcro straps needing to be put through the strap holder (they come loose every time) and then the velcro straps sticking everywhere except where you want them to, this becomes a 5-10 minute task every time.

I bought these thinking I could just slip them off and on, but they are super tight and it takes two people; one person to use both hands to stretch the opening wide, and the other person to guide in the dog's foot. I'm looking for something to use on those summer days when the cement is too hot for their paws. These are plastic, so they might not be the best choice anyway.

Just don’t walk your dog on hot asphalt in the middle of the day. You don’t need gimmicky stuff like this. Just modify your schedule

I live in Texas and they regularly put warnings on the local news against people trying harebrained things like what you're suggesting.

If it is so hot that you don't think your dog's paws should touch the asphalt, it is too hot for your dog to be outside safely. Short bathroom trips only in that weather. Exercise walks can happen early in the morning or late at night. It might still be hot but at least the pavement will have cooled.
