Spouse spying on my phone?

Anonymous
Two nights ago I went downstairs to get a drink. I had my earbuds on and I could hear clicking sounds from my phone. Same sounds as if someone was logging into my phone. I walked back up stairs and my husband was still in the bathroom. I asked me if he played with my phone and he said no. He wasn't acting strange at all and I was only gone for maybe 30-40 seconds. There's no proof he logged into my phone besides me hearing sounds in my earbuds. Can there be another explanation? I heard clicking sounds same as if you logged into a phone.

What are you hiding?

I would hand the phone over and say "Are you worried about something?"

You sound guilty OP. He was in the bathroom.

Are you having an affair?

I wouldn't care at all if my husband looked at my phone. We use the same password anyways.

What are you hiding?

You sound worried.

Had you both done the Wordle for that day?

OP: Not hiding anything, but found it odd hearing clicking sounds similar to entering a password on my phone. My husband and I don't have the best relationship, but we're not at odds against each other right now. He was in the bathroom getting ready for bed. But, how else can you explain the clicking sounds. They literally sounded like someone was logging into my phone. I was listening to music so my earbuds could hear the clicking sounds.

Something happened the sounds don't just appear out of no where. I'm 99% sure it was him, but he was in the bathroom as usual getting ready. No way he could have ran out then ran back in. He was acting completely normal but I just don't know. Should I see if there's hacking apps on my phone?

Just assume that he/she is and proceed accordingly.

If it's an iPhone you can swipe up from the bottom and see, in sequence, the apps that were last accessed. Should be easy to tell if he was snooping.

This happened to me and I wasn’t cheating or doing anything wrong.

It guess who was? My DH.

He was a cheater so he assumed I was a cheater too. Nope.

I’d be concerned if he’s going through your phone. It means he either thinks you’re doing something wrong or is very insecure about your relationship.

My DH has issued and turns out he found out my Reddit handle and followed my comments. Messed up and hurt me a lot.

You say he wouldn't have had time to run back out and in again so it isn't clear why you are continuing to suspect him if logistically you don't feel he could have done it. Also if he had just been in your phone it would have been unlocked and open to whatever he was snooping given you dashed back up to surprise him and he wouldn't have had time to close out of your phone, return it to its place, and resume his normal bathroom duties before you entered the room

OP: That's the thing nothing changed on my phone. Nothing. I had three apps open and all three were open when I checked. Nothing changed. I know he knows my password, but odd for him to log in. Also odd that he was in the bathroom. Unless he's James Bond I don't know how he could have came out, logged in, did something, log out, and go back to the bathroom before I returned. He also can't hear me walk.

Did you try googling about the noise you heard? There are lots of issues - software update, need to clean air pod. It is interesting that your first assumption is that your spouse, who you say physically could not have, was trying to check your phone.
