If you’ve had a brow lift and eye lid surgery, did you go to an oculafacial plastic surgeon or just plastic surgeon?

I keep getting conflicting thoughts on this. I was convinced to do an oculofacial surgeon for my eyelids and then was told I need a brow lift too. One oculofacial surgeon does brow lifts but one doesn’t which makes me wonder if that’s more something just for plastic surgeons. I only know people who have done their eyelids which seems much more straightforward.

I would just do eyelids with someone who does a lot of eyelids. I would not do both at the same time. Eyelids can make the eye look really round. Add to that pulling up with forehead, and I've seen women who look perpetually surprised. It's also dependent on the shape of the eyes. I know two people who had the upper eyelid surgery done by the same excellent surgeon. They both look great, but one looks more natural than the other due to eye shape.

I've had extensive consultations on all kinds of plastic surgery, but just can never do it.

I would do oculofacial. Get another consult. Have you met with Dr. Rostami?

I saw a plastic surgeon for both. I love my brow lift but think my lower bleph is only OK. I live in Arizona, so my doctor names won't be helpful to you.

Can someone explain why upper blephs often make the eye look *smaller*? It's a phenomenon I just can't figure out.
