Need tooth extraction

Anonymous
One of my teeth has a vertical fracture from grinding and I need a tooth extraction and implant. Recs for a careful and gentle oral surgeon? Any experience with Dr. Merlo? Thanks!

I like Dr. Nguyen Cao at Alexandria Oral Surgery.

My DD went to Dr. Dzyak in Boyds for wisdom tooth extraction and he was terrific! I don’t know if he does implants, though.

Sally Cram is excellent but she’s located downtown in DC.

Not saying not to get an implant, but DH is in the process and it's going to be months long. Those teeth in a day ads, I have no idea who that works for.
It's involved, lots of home care. I am not sure I would do it.

Three family members used Dr. Romanow (two for wisdom teeth, another for a single removal). We were very happy with him and his office.

If it’s a back tooth, he doesn’t need an implant. 2honest dentists told me to not bother unless I chew lots of hard stuff or have difficulty chewing after extraction. Nope, barely noticeable unless I’m eating tough steak (hardly ever)

OP here. It’s a bicuspid tooth, #12. Not a back tooth.

Dr Patel at Bethesda Chevy Chase Oral Surgery.
He's very skilled and patient and the staff are extremely professional and kind. I'm having an implant and my son just had his wisdom teeth removed.

The removal is seriously no big deal. I had nitrous oxide and it was really worth it. I was very relaxed.

The implant process is really not bad. Some discomfort the days after but Advil worked well.

The issue I have is not having a tooth for so long. Mine is close to the back but still visible if I fully smile so I want the crown in already!

Dr Poshni on Shady Grove Rd is really kind and gentle. Not the nicest office but great care. He extracted teeth from 3 of my kids (he sees adults) many times. 1 round of baby teeth, 1 round of permanent teeth and 2 rounds of wisdom teeth.

To clarify, when I say not the nicest office I mean not a modern office. But the staff are very nice!
