So disturbing. Union Station was safe in the late afternoon on workdays in the 90s.

Was it a Gonzaga kid?

I used to go there for lunch all the time between 2002 and 2009. It was not only safe, it was nice. Things sure have changed.

It was and they have.

I remember going to a fancy wedding in Union Station as well as an Inaugural Ball.

DC really has to get a hold of public safety. Even with the "surged" resources from DOJ, USAO prosecution rates are far, far lower than they were pre-covid. The AG is more focused on gas stoves and suing Meta than getting teens on a better path. Violent people of any age need to be taken out of the community. Basic rules, including re: truancy, need to be enforced.

This summer is not going to be good.

There were tourist restaurants there that families would go to in the 90s. Even when much of the city had gone to hell, the safe spots were safe spots. Those days are long gone.

Sounds like they don't know where he was stabbed but he wandered around until he couldn't walk, and them people noticed he was injured?
Anonymous
My DC was there an hour earlier. Ugh.
Anonymous
Was it them again? Because it’s usually always them.

Looks likes DC.

Thank god the AG is spending his time prosecuting landlords instead of juvenile crime.

Unfortunately, that will be the only Court the perpetrator will ever see. AG Schwab will make darn sure of that.

Back in the 80s and 90s many suburban kids would see the movies there. It was a state of the art AMC multiplex. As of a few days ago, Union Station is now on the cusp of a revival since the courts just sided with Amtrak to take over and clean up the place. Amtrak police will enforce the law.
