With work from home, would this three word nugget still be wisdom or a thing of past? |
Different locations can still be important. It's not just about where your job is.
Have you looked at housing prices in Vail? Or Key West? Or anywhere people actually want to be? |
No, it won't be a thing of the past. Which locations are more desirable could morph a bit, though. |
With more and more places requiring hybrid or even worse requiring many people to come back for many days a week, location will still be key. But yeah may change a bit (in sense that places further out are now more viable now due to fewer weekly commutes) |
nope! anywhere you can find a house and not have to stab someone for it is good enough now! |
Schools matter. |
No reason for you to assume that location has to be related to an office commute. Location can mean school district, access to nature, privacy, walkable amenities, access to public transportation, quiet street, corner lot, etc.
|
Location is the mai thing that matters. WFH has not changed that. |
Location will always be a thing. |
Schools, traffic and amenities matter. Walking to parks, restaurants and not having to drive everywhere are important to most. Unless you live on acres and want that kind of life. Hard to pass easy living. |
Traffic increasing by crazy numbers so that may increase location's value even more. |
Location isn’t just in reference to work. Location is about status areas, sought after schools, proximity to city/water/etc. |
And safe areas. |
This. Totally. Walkable. Safe area. View. Water access. Yes, location matters. Jon’s change more frequently than me moving! |
Walkable and safe are mutually exclusive. If the area is walkable, the criminals can also walk to your house. |
